Top 10 Surprises at the Geneva Motor Show

8. Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport

[Not a valid template]

Chevrolet wasn’t about to let Porsche hog all the glory with its Ultimate Road Car spiel, so it unveiled the Corvette Grand Sport. Touted as “a pure expression of the car’s motorsports-bred pedigree”, the Grand Sport is a track-focused (but road legal) C7 with weight removed, aero increased and some mean styling. Power comes from a naturally aspirated V8 with 466bhp, and you can opt for a Z07 package that adds big meaty carbon-ceramic brakes and some Michelin Pilots Sport Cup 2 tyres. A Collector Edition version comes with a swanky Watkins Glen Gray metallic paint, named after the legendary US racetrack.
