2. A Dip in the Harbour (1955)
Monaco’s harbourside location makes for spectacular views, but it has its drawbacks, as Alberto Ascari discovered. The Italian, a two-time Formula 1 world champion, crashed his Lancia over the wall and into the Mediterranean. He was rescued with nothing but a broken nose, but would die in a testing accident just four days later.
