5. Senna announces his skill (1984)

The 1984 Monaco Grand Prix was beset by heavy rain, but that didn’t stop a young Ayrton Senna, in the decidedly average Toleman car, from charging through the field, overtaking leader Alain Prost just as the race was red-flagged. Senna thought he’d won, but the red flag meant the previous lap’s order decided the final positions and Senna placed second – his first F1 podium.
