4. Carnage (1982)

The Monaco Grand Prix of 1982 was the race that seemingly no one wanted to win. Polesitter Rene Arnoux spun off on lap 14, handing the lead to Alain Prost, who crashed three laps from the end. A lap later Riccardo Patrese spun from the lead and stalled, handing the race to Didier Peroni who promptly ran out of fuel. Derek Daly then led but broke down before the final lap, before Patrese, who had managed to restart his car, came through to win.
