Said car, described above by owner Robert Giaimo, is a 1967 Lancia Flaminia Super Sport with body by Zagato, and since that description alone conjures two of the automotive industries most desirable names – Lancia and Zagato – I’ll assume we now have your attention. Powered by a 2.8-litre V6, it was the Lancia’s character that swung the decision for Robert over perhaps the more obvious Alfa Romeo. Of course, an early problem with snapping throttle cables means this marriage made in heaven didn’t begin perfectly. But over time…
