2017 Chevrolet Malibu Turbo. Hot Wings Challenge.

Two identical Chevrolet Malibu Turbo, and a journey of over 500 kilometers across the UAE. Will dynamic driving beat efficiency?

Engine Power Torque 0-100kph Top speed Weight Basic price
2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder 250bhp @ 5,300rpm 258lb ft @ 1,700 6.1 secs 250kph 1500kg $18,700

In a race between James’s efficient driving and my dynamic driving, the Malibus go on an over 500 kilometers drive on one single tank of fuel, starting in Dubai, going through Ras al Khaimah, Khor Fakkan, Fujairah and then back to Dubai. The idea was to see if I could make it back without having to park on the hard shoulder, and to see what James could achieve while driving below the speed limit, on low revs and least amount of effort on the engine.

Both cars are identical, with the new 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder Turbo engine that gives 250hp, and has an expected average range of over 600 Kilometers on a single tank (Depending on terrains and driving behaviour).

Why do I want to prove my point? because if I could get back to Dubai without running out of fuel, James will have to eat the hottest wings we could find. Rated at over 300,000 Scoville which is over 70 times hotter than jalapeños. Myuhuhahaha. Check the video above, and let us know what you think in the comments.
