Audi adds SQ5 ‘plus’ to its range

Audi has introduced the new SQ5 TDI plus variant to its range, adding more power, more torque and more equipment.

The 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 TDI at the heart of the SQ5 TDI plus produces 335bhp – (27bhp more than the current SQ5 TDI). Peak torque is increased by 36.9lb-ft to 516.3 lb-ft, while it’s 0-100ph stands at 5.1 seconds, with its top speed electronically limited to 250kph. 42.8mpg is also potentially achievable (according to the NEDC) with emissions of 174 g CO2/km.

Power is delivered through the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, with a sports differential at the rear axle distributing the drive power between the wheels.

To distinguish the ‘plus’ model, it features gloss black 21-inch cast aluminum Audi Sport wheels in 5-twin-spoke star design and an extended black gloss package taking in the exterior mirror housings, door handles, roof edge spoiler and rear diffuser. Inside, diamond stitched fine Nappa leather upholstery and the sliding rear bench seat plus can be found, as standard.

The new Audi SQ5 TDI plus will be available to order later this year, with pricing still to be announced.
