The 992-generation 911 Carrera is not short on power, with its 3.0-litre turbocharged flat-six propelling even the base-level model from standstill to 100kph in 4sec flat. Though more focused GT variants are just around the corner, Techart has decided to give us an early taste with its new offerings.

A power bump for the Carrera 4S surfaced late last year, however the German-based fettler is now offering products for every 992 Carrera variant. Power kits can now be had on both the rear-drive S and 4S in drop-top and coupe forms, with lesser models also qualifying for its range of visual modifications.

For those that opt for Techart’s OPF-delete, an additional 79bhp and 74lb ft of torque can be extracted from the S and 4S, making for a total output of 523bhp and 465lb ft of torque. Cars that retain their factory emissions filters still gain a respectable 59bhp and 59lb ft, for 503bhp and 450lb ft of torque in total.

With figures for the OPF-delete cars exceeding even those of the latest GT3 RS, performance is predictably impressive. Fitted with the Sport Chrono package, the Carrera 4S can cover the 0-100kph sprint in only 3.1sec and go on to a top speed of 314kph.

Unlike many ECU tunes, Techart’s system allows drivers to alter power levels via the factory drive mode selection dial. ‘Normal’ provides the same performance and fuel economy found in an unmodified car, with Sport and Sport Plus increasing boost and other parameters for additional performance.

Helping the newly-tuned half-dozen breathe is a valved titanium exhaust system, dropping weight by 40 per cent over the factory stainless steel item whilst offering the benefit of more sound. To complement it, buyers can also opt for the tuner’s carbonfibre exhaust tips, available in matte or gloss finishes.

A new rear wing complete with questionable perspex supports, a more aggressive diffuser, a five-piece front splitter, new grille surrounds and a range of wheels in varying sizes and finishes can be had on all 992 Carrera variants.

Modifications don’t stop on the outside, either, with complete cabin reupholstery available. High-quality leather and wool finishes, a new steering wheel, illuminated carbonfibre door sills and aluminium pedals can all help your 911 stand apart from the rest.

Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
