Novitec N-Largo Ferrari 812 GTS revealed – drop-top GT gains power and new body

The open-top Ferrari 812 GTS has been given Novitec’s complete N-Largo package, boosting performance

The Ferrari 812 has already been fettled by Novitec subtly in both Superfast and GTS forms, but now it’s time for the drop-top GTS to receive the full-house N-Largo treatment. The 812 GTS has now been given a complete aesthetic makeover courtesy of bold new bodywork.

Width is up 70mm at the front and a huge 140mm at the rear over standard, with new front and rear arches enhancing the GTS’s road presence. As with all components, Novitec claims that each has been sent through a wind tunnel to ensure utmost aerodynamic efficiency and in some cases, an increase in downforce.

To match the widened arches, new sills are fitted alongside entirely new front and rear bumpers, resculptured to fit the extreme design. The rear deck is now home to an enlarged lip spoiler, integrated into the rear bumper for a claimed bump in downforce. There’s also a new surround for the enlarged quad exhaust tips, crafted from exposed carbonfibre just like the wing mirrors and rear light surrounds.

Though they certainly lift visual aggression, those widened arches also allow for the fitment of wider NF 10 NL, Vossen-design forged wheels, staggered in a 21- and 22-inch configuration. Though this upgrade is mostly aesthetic, a reduction in unsprung mass and the ability to fit 275- front and 335-section rear tyres should improve grip and traction.

Speaking of performance, less restrictive 100-cell catalytic converters come as part of Novitec’s sports exhaust system, liberating an extra 39bhp and 29lb ft of torque over an ordinary 812 GTS. Available in either stainless steel or Inconel with or without valve control, the system boasts not only increased sound output, but improved heat dissipation too, something that can be improved further with optional gold plating.

Total output stands at 829bhp and 554lb ft of torque, enough for a 2.8sec 0-100kph time and 344kph top speed – that’s around a tenth and 5kph quicker than standard.

A new suspension tune also drops ride height by 35mm front and rear, but Novitec will equip a front suspension lift system to help you navigate those speed bumps and steep driveways. Interior modification is also on the options list as with all of the firm’s products.

Pricing for the Novitec N-Largo 812 GTS can be had upon application. Just 18 examples will be produced.
