For a lot of people, sense of achievement comes from recognition and someone else’s approval. For me though, satisfaction only comes when I’m happy with the results. Photography is very personal to me, and I challenge myself to be different. I’m only happy when I feel I’ve achieved this.

I was born in London, UK, and most of the subjects I shoot are found on these streets. It’s an incredible city, especially for fans of cool cars, new and old. During the summer, some of the finest cars in the world can roll past my doorstep. Chances are I’ll see a Ferrari 599 GTO or two when I’m in the centre, and spotting a Pagani Zonda Cinque and a Koenigsegg Agera R last summer was particularly awesome!

Plus the weekends bring out the rarer cars, and this can include the odd Bugatti Veyron.  My main interest is classic cars, and during the previous year I’ve been fortunate to see several classic Ferraris out on the streets, including a 250 GTO, 250SWB and a 275GTB/4. Fingers crossed I’ll see a 250GT Berlinetta Lusso someday too!

Often I’m asked why I’m so interested in cars, and the answer’s simple: I actually wanted to design them. I spent some time studying in America but had to return to the UK after a while. So when I got back, I started photographing them instead. I started with very few aims, but wanted to shoot in a way that didn’t just appeal to car fans. I went to car shows every chance I got, and my pictures started improving. I’ve been doing it ever since.
