I have been following the build of this car since it started on www.timeattackforums.com and was initially completely inspired to a point where we carried on with the VW as our weapon of choice in the UAE Touring Car Championship.

This little video that I found while hawking around my favourite site (vimeo) is shot during the 2009 Super Lap Battle Finals where sadly the AMS Performance NOS Energy Drink EVO X suffered a steering line rupture. This then led to a small fire filling the cabin and causing the driver to make a sharp exit…they did however end up taking 4th place.

Thankfully the car was repairable and the team was back at it 3 days later at Redline Time Attack finals where they broke the AWD track record and took home Unlimited AWD Championship title!

Not a bad effort I think you will agree…
