The folks at Volkswagen Middle East have kindly supplied CRANK&PISTON with a box-fresh Passat CC for the next couple of months.

Our particular CC comes with the 2.0-litre turbo engine that’s rated for 197bhp and 206lb ft of torque. It’s an R-Line edition car, so comes with some 18″ twin five-spoke alloys, more aggressive bumpers and smoked out lights. The interior is a rather natty two tone black and cream affair with plenty of chrome highlights.

Though the CC is essentially a four-door saloon, VW has followed a similar line as pioneered by the Mercedes CLS and has given the CC a swoopy coupe-esque profile. The pure white paintwork really gives the car presence – especially with the blacked-out sunroof tapering from the windscreen edge.

We’ll be reporting on life with the CC over the coming weeks and will see if we can get our heads around the copious amounts of tech onboard.

There’s just one thing missing at the moment – some CRANK&PISTON sticker love. Naturally, we will have that rectified very soon.
