Because how cool would it be to park on the side of the road just to make and cook some pasta or grill some chicken?
When we first saw the images, we honestly thought it was a belated April’s Fool prank because this just doesn’t really look logical or even doable. A toaster in the center console? Ha! Well, after some phone calls, we realized that everyone we spoke to was quiet serious about this, and the car actually exists.
So celebrity chef Jamie Oliver who is a Jaguar Land Rover fan and customer just received his own unique one-off Land Rover Discovery, which is fully equipped with kitchen tools, capable of making different sorts of food on the go, wherever you are.

I bet the challenge that Jamie gave to SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) at Land Rover wasn’t easy to consume. Being car engineers and enthusiasts, we never thought of having a foldable table with a cooker rolling out the back, as they mostly focused on space and maybe using the back ledge to sit on.
You know what’s funny? In the specs sheet: “Slow cooker with 4.7 Litre capacity”.
Here’s the layout of the extras in the Jamie Discovery:
Would I have something like that? Well, if I can cook, I think I could do wonders when going on an offroad drive to the desert, and I bet you could impress almost anyone with this. Actually, coming to think about it… You could do the perfect desert date with this. So Land Rover, can I get some cooking classes and a Discovery Kitchen?
Before I go, here are some of the small details the car has which I think are brilliant:
