The regulars to crankandpiston will know that we have a cool relationship with Drayson racing through their star driver, Jonny Cocker. We mentioned last time out that Drayson had been testing their all new Lola LMP1 car at Silverstone prior to shipping the car out to the US, to take part in Petit Le Mans and rather excitedly I bring you this new video from that event.

One of the things that really appeals to me about Drayson racing is their undivided commitment to pushing the boundaries of “green” racing. It is something that is very close to me and an aspect that crankandpiston will be bringing to the UAE National Racing Championship in the very near future.

This killer video tracks their endeavours at Road Atlanta with the all new car and as you can see it was a journey of learning for the guys that have been running in the GT2 Class with their exceedingly sexy Aston Martin Vantage for the past season and a bit. One of the massive benefits of operating the end of the racing calendar the way that these guys have done is that they get to hit the ground running next year with what is hopefully going to be a bullet proof platform.
