Calm your tickers. This wasn’t an official Championship round of the 2012/2013 Drift UAE season. The images you see here are actually part of a new initiative –set up by series owner Mohammed Al Falasi – which will see new and old competitors to the drift scene alike get two practice evenings a month.

The events have been broken down into three separate categories: those entering ‘Street’ can enter street-legal cars with mild modifications; ‘Modified’ is, well, pretty self explanatory when we’re talking about engine and suspension mods; and the ‘Pro’ is for your crème de la crème on the drifting circuit, and their specifically tuned torqued-up horses.
