The internet went up in flames with the overload of hateful messages regarding Bentley’s EXP 9 F SUV, and we can’t exactly say we refute some of the voices of the petrolhead masses. While not particularly easy on the eye, the EXP 9 F isn’t exactly fetching, with critics suggesting that its styling seemed cobbled together a week before its Geneva Motor Show unveiling by a monkey in a polo-neck and black square-rimmed spectacles.
Not to worry though, because Bentley has accepted the heavy criticisms, bowed their heads, and gone back to the drawing board. There are still three years to go before a production version of Crewe’s 6.0-litre W12-cylinder SUV hits the market: plenty of time to call in some outside help.
Only, should Bentley care at all about the design and our cries? Seemingly not, if you care to listen to what real-life Bentley customers are saying. Word is that in Dubai more than 100 pre-orders have already been placed for the Bentley EXP 9 F, meaning that the markets the SUV was originally destined for – namely the Middle East and China – are perfectly happy with its design.
Still, we’d like to casually suggest some sales-boosting special editions for Bentley, such as this regional-spec EXP 9 F, complete with purple metallic paint, 24K gold trim, bling alloy wheels, and off the wall leather interior >>>
