10) The new Vision car promises some proper performance for the road
The Vision shows what Alpine is working on as it tries to get back into our hearts once again. A lightweight, mid-engined compact sports car, it aims to offer an alternative to the Porsche Cayman and when it goes on sale in 2017, don’t expect it to look too different to the concept. We’re hoping for dynamic, beautifully balanced handling and the ability to change direction like a whippet. Bearing in mind the brand’s heritage, don’t be at all surprised to see the regular version followed by a hotter Renaultsport variant. We’re very much looking forward to what Alpoine has cooking.
