Saudi Arabia’s Prince Abdulaziz Al Faisal is another one of the regions shining stars that is putting his talent to the test and going head to head with the worlds best. Abdulaziz is a firm believer that a busy summer programme in Europe, which has already seen him create a piece of motor racing history, can help him to more success his home turf in the Middle East.

After losing his drivers‘ title to Bahrain’s Sheikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, Prince Abdulaziz seemed to be more spurred on than ever to win it straight back. His hard work and exploits in Europe have already seen him become the first Arab to win a round of the FIA GT3 European Championship, when he partnered Swede Edward Sandström to victory in Portugal with the Team Need for Speed BMW Z4.  Not only did he grab that win he also had an exciting first attempt at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans 24 race, which sadly ended after a puncture forced the car out of the race while performing above expectations.

So all of this experience and practice will clearly boost his bid for 2011-12 Porsche GT3 Cup glory and hopefully persuade more drivers to come and experience the Middle Eastern season, that falls beautifully in the European down season.

Details of the championship have been a touch thin on the ground, however we believe it will be kick starting again in November. As soon as this news is confirmed we will let you know.
