A little something to get you in the mood for the 2014 Dakar Rally
The Dakar 2014 is well underway and, yes, that is a llama in this official teaser video. Since 2009 the Dakar rally has been held in South America (for security reasons) but the action has remained action packed as ever in possibly the toughest off-road, rally raid endurance race in del mundo.
This year’s general route (folk tend to get a bit lost sometimes) began in Rosario in Argentina on the 4th of January. Over the next two weeks the competitors will make their way north through Argentina before hanging a left into Bolivia and heading down south through Chile to the checkered flag in Valparaiso.
Bit early yet to predict a winner but we wouldn’t bet against Carlos Sainz in the Red Bull SMG Buggy. Because Carlos.
