From virtual to reality is becoming a common theme with Nissan, given that season two of the GT Academy Middle East kicked off recently. Now it’s the turn of the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo from Nissan, a design study for Sony’s popular racing game due to be unveiled at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo series, the Concept 2020 Vision was originally designed as a ‘visionary, dream car’ at the behest of Gran Turismo’s development team. Owners of the new GT6 will be able to download the Concept 2020 Vision – in one of ten available shades – next month.

Originally a concept from Nissan design team in the UK, the Concept 2020 Vision soon attracted attention from the company’s powerhouse designers in Japan. Taking designs cues from some of Nissan’s most memorable models, the concept was built from the ground up and represents the only physical representation of the car today. We doubt we’ll see the 2+2 seater driven up the historic Goodwood hill during the event though.

Nissan’s Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo has taken a path not dissimilar to Volkswagen’s GTI Roadster Gran Turismo, which made its conceptual debut at this year’s Woerthersee event.
