With the Porsche 911, we’ve grown accustomed them boasting a dazzling paint finish, rolling on bespoke alloys and penetrating the bluest of skies with the growls that emanate from under the bonnet.

That’s not the case here though. This particular 911, a victim of devastating wild fires that can strike unmercifully without warning, has been stripped to its base by the incredible heat. No tyres. No seats. Nothing. Just a shell overlooking the Malibu Hills.
