Red Bull Car Park Drift. Saudi Arabia 2013. NEW VIDEO

Red Bull Car Park Drift hits Saudi Arabia, and sees Amir Mansour and Saeed Al Mouri top the table in Jeddah.

Mad Mike - Action

Getting Saudi Arabia enthusiastic about drifting has never been much of an issue, and yet Red Bull managed to raise the roof even higher on its latest sojourn to the Kingdom. Red Bull Car Park Drift hit the main stage in Jeddah with more than a dozen Middle East drivers vying for the top spot.

Several hours of high-pitch enthusiasm from the crowd (plus a bit of sideways action) came to a close with Amir Mansour being crowned of the Saudi Arabia Grand Final aboard his Nissan 350Z, just ahead of Saeed Al Mouri in his Chevrolet Lumina and Abdullah Al Youssef in his own Nissan 350Z. Mansour and Al Mouri, as the top two, are now on their way to the Middle East Grand Final in the UAE later this year.

As ever the judging panel on the day saw some familiar names. As well as Saudi Rally Champions Mamdouh Khayyat and Abdullah Bakhashab, former Porsche GT3 Challenge Cup Middle East champion Abdulaziz Turki Al Faisal was once again on-hand to help judge the art of each drift, engine roar, tyre smoke, audience interaction, and car appearance. Abdo Feghali – winner of the Springs Rally and Lebanese Speed Test, and recent Guinness World Record holder – was a popular returnee to an event he has quickly become the face of, while ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett also returned for more Red Bull Car Park Drift action following his appearance at the Jordanian round last year.
