TOP 10 Safety Car Moments

7. Taking out Taki – Formula 1, Hungaroring, 1995

Poor old Taki Inoue wasn’t having a good 1995, having been run into by a Formula 1 safety car during practice at the Monaco Grand Prix. Then, at the Hungarian Grand Prix the same year, he retired from the race and tried to get marshals to extinguish the fire on his Footwork car. As he ran back towards the car, he was promptly flattened by a Tatra 623 course car coming to help. He’s never lived it down.
