TOP 10 motorsport backflips

7. Christian Fittipaldi – Formula 1, 1993

The 1993 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza was notable for Williams driver Damon Hill charging his way through the field to win. But it was the very last seconds of the race for the two Minardi drivers that provided the most spectacular moment. Christian Fittipaldi was chasing down teammate Pierluigi Martini to the line when their wheels tangled. Fittipaldi soared into the air, executed a splendid off-axis backflip, and then landed back on his remaining wheels to cross the line. Neither driver was hurt and neither lost a position.
