For those of you wondering what 431hp, 406lb ft of torque and the body of BMW M4 with its roof sliced off would look like, look no further. BMW has no officially launched details and images of its new M4 Convertible.

Powered by the same 2979cc TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in both the M4 Coupe and M3 saloon, the new convertible model hits the ton in an impressive 4.4 seconds before disappearing into the distance and a 250kph electronically limited top speed. Make your choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M Double Clutch automatic transmission.

As well as the new haircut (the lid of which can be closed in just six seconds and at speeds up to 12kph), the M4 convertible also boasts M-spec Adaptive Suspension, 19-inch M-light alloy wheels and the ‘powerdome’ bonnet. M division highlights in the interior inlcude three-colour stitching and monogrammed headrests. Thanks to the use of lightweight materials and clever witchcraftery, the newboy also weighs in at 1750kg, 60kg less than its predecessor.

Prices so far have only been confirmed at £60,730 ($100k-ish) for the UK, so don’t expect much change left in your piggy banks after forking over a deposit.
