Passing through the town centre, the convoy continues towards the Theatre de Spa. There the drivers disembark to attend the pre-event briefing and spend an hour or so signing autographs. The GT3 cars, now on full display outside the theatre, tick themselves cool under the Ardennes sun, awaiting free practice and qualifying that lie just around the corner. There’ll be little time to rest when the green flag drops.
