Sebastien Loeb Racing completes pre-season testing at Le Mans ahead of a full season in both the Blancpain Endurance Series and the GT Series.

Le Mans has proven a happy hunting ground for crankandpiston’s new mates at Fast Auto: not only have they snapped the lesser-spotted Marcos LM-95s of 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans ‘fame’ and the Dino 246 GT crowd puller, the guys are busy drooling over the McLaren 12C GT3 to be used by Sebastien Loeb Racing in this year’s FIA GT Series.

Yep, this year marks Sebastien Loeb’s first full time assault on the GT stage having decided that nine World Rally Championships is probably enough (though the Frenchman will still compete on a further two WRC events this years after cameo appearances in Monte Carlo and Sweden). But this is far from Loeb’s first time at La Sarthe. In 2005, he made his debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Pescarolo Sport (now sadly folded) before taking an outright second position aboard the Pescarolo-Judd C60 with teammates Eric Helary and Franck Montagny.

News has already spread that Loeb and entourage will not be competing at La Sarthe this year, but Sebastien Loeb Racing – made up of Loeb, Mike Parisy, Andreas Zuber and former GP2 race winner Alvaro Parente – will have more than enough on its plate in the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series (entry lists for which are already up to 60 teams) and the newly renamed GT Series, formerly GT1 World Championship.

Expect headlines  whatever the result.
