It seems as though the Hot Rod culture may actually be spilling out on to the streets of the Middle East. First up there is Gaurav Dhar who has been happily cruising the streets of Dubai in his Chevy powered 1927 Ford A-rod for some while and now there is this! As with a lot of things in this part of the world, if you have something different and very cool, all of sudden everyone wants one. Sadly we didn’t have a chance to scope it out properly but from the face of it, it looks like a ’32 Ford based rod as apposed to the real deal – we could however be totally off base.

Hopefully we will be able to catch up to it again sometime soon and get a proper look around.

  1. with all due respect…thats not a 27. the 27 had a different rear-end called a “turtle-duck”. the cab should slightly roll around the rear of the cab and modeled into the “turtle-duck” aka…rear-end ad rear quarter panels. i’ve built quite a few of them back in the states.

also, the door lines are completely different than a 27. (a real 27 does not have an upper roll on the door frames)

btw…Termite pointed this site out to me….pretty wicked site! well done!!

  2. I’ve spotted this rod myself a few weeks back. Shame I had my Sony to shoot it.
    Interested in the photos?
