That’s Nissan’s view anyway, and it’s the reasoning behind this – the NISMO GT-R RC. It takes the standard GT-R package but takes away all that pesky road-going stuff and adds suspension that will work with slicks, various FIA-approved safety features like a roll cage, 120-litre ATL fuel tank and air jacks, and a range of lightweight components.

The result is a machine able to take part in various production races around the world, as reflects its name – the RC stands for Racing Competition. Nissan whipped the covers off it at the Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan and we want one now please.
