One last chance. The Saudi Falcons went into the Porsche GT3 Challenge Cup Middle East finale at the Bahrain International Circuit knowing they had just one last chance to overhaul series leader Clemens Schmid in the Gold Cup. Reigning series champion Abdulaziz Turki AlFaisal knew that too, and was not about to let the Austrian take victory lightly.

Nor, as it turns out, did Schmid’s Al Nabooda Racing stablemate Karim Al Azhari, who went elbow-to-elbow with the young Austrian throughout the Sakhir weekend. Cue a three-wait fight to the finish.

Slightly further back, ATF’s Saudi Falcons teammate Faisal Binladen had enough on his own Silver Cup plate to worry about, namely fending off the advances of Team Bahrain’s Mohammed Matter and Zaid Ashkanani. Round six in Bahrain would prove a challenging weekend for The Saudi Falcons.
