Alex Buncombe Jaguar C-type.

Alex Buncombe is a bit handy when it comes to steering old Jaguar racing cars on the limit. There’s been more than one occasion when he has gone from last on the grid to first place in just a few laps in the E-Type Challenge proving real drivers don’t need ABS, traction control and other modern gadgetry to go racing. Although, that said, when you stick the man in a Nissan GT-R at the opening round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza, Mr. Buncombe does much the same thing.

When he’s racing the JD Classics ex-Juan Manuel Fangio Jaguar C-Type at the Monaco Historic and it’s all clear up front then it is definitely worth climbing on board to watch. Needless to say, he went on to take a decisive victory in the Series C category for cars which raced between 1952 to 1955.
