British independent Elemental is set to unveil its first production-ready RP1 sports car at this month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s been a whole two years since we last heard from the manufacturer on its first-ever production model, which is now ready for its main event debut after four years of development.

The model is planned to be put to the test at this year’s iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb, with Elemental keen to show what the car and its 500bhp can do. Weighing in at just 65kg, the RP1 is powered by two engine options, a 1-litre three-cylinder turbocharged 180bhp and a 320bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit. This results in a 0-100kph time of 3.2 seconds and 2.8 seconds respectively. Lightweight and maneuverable (much like Caterham and Zenos before it), the RP1 is capable of producing up to 400kg of downforce at up 241kph in standard road-height set-up, the suspension also easily adjustable by the owner.

The Elemental RP1 also has a pretty awesome Formula 1-style feet-up driving position and is, of course, street legal. Bring on Goodwood!
