VIDEO. Convertible Range Rover Evoque

Those of you who’ve spent the last few months writing impassioned letters to Land Rover for a convertible Evoque can now rest easy, since one will go on sale next year.

Development testing – if the below camouflaged images are any to go by – took place across the 26-mile network of Crossrail tunnels underneath London. Unorthodox, yes, but then so is naming an Evoque after a London postcode…

Few details, other than the lopped roof, have been unveiled, but it seems likely that the model will feature Jaguar Land Rover’s new bastion of Ingenium engines. News on whether these will accompany a hard or soft top roof has again been kept shtum.

You’d hope though, if the Range Rover‘s development is taking place in the subway network, that it would be hardtop. Urgh…
