One of the main reasons why motor vehicles are so expensive is because manufacturers are required to invest massive amounts of money in the research and development of future technologies. Without this substantial financial investment, no manufacturer could ever remain competitive in a future market and their product would rapidly become antiquated. We understand that. We accept that. That is the price of progress.
