The sixth generation Maserati Quattroporte is due for imminent release and production has already started on what Maserati promise to be a game changer. The soul of any Maserati has always been the engine and with 523 bhp, from the all-new 3.8-litre twin turbo V8, we are waiting with anticipation to hear the new Quattroporte on song.
Audio legends Bowers & Wilkins have teamed up with Maserati for the optional premium surround sound system on the new Quattroporte which promises ‘as good as it gets’ in production car hi-fi systems.
Inspired by the ‘seven notes produced by all Maserati engines’, Bowers & Wilkins brought together a car, a renowned producer (Howie B who has worked with Björk and U2) and the world-famous Abbey Road Studios to ‘meticulously record the sound of a Maserati engine, and use it to create music.’
The Seven Notes project has produced two original pieces of music featuring the sound of a Maserati engine and performed by All We Are. Hopefully Bowers & Wilkins intend to produce some further music with the engine from the new Quattroporte.
