Bizarre as it may seem, this isn’t the first time the world has seen ‘light graffiti’.
These works are the combined efforts of Mark Brown and Marc Cameron, the latter of whom – along with partner Paul Curtis – first came to prominence with their ‘reverse graffiti’ or ‘grime writing’, made by removing grime and dirt from surfaces to leave behind a design of their choosing. Then came Brown and Cameron’s first examples of light graffiti, which took London by storm in 2011.

So what is ‘light graffiti’? Right…yes…okay…let’s give this a go. The graffiti is actually an example of light painting, wherein exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera.

And that means…? Well we’re not entirely sure but some sort of witchcraft means these images made from light spring out before their selected backdrops.
