Any self-respecting Beemer fan is familiar with the company’s art car collection. First launched in 1975, the BMW Art Car collection has fascinated contemporary artists around the globe and brought the automotive world some of the most stunning liveries on some of Bavaria’s most iconic machines. Models and liveries like the Andy Warhol’s ‘79 M1, the ‘95 ‘inside out’ 850 CSi from David Hockney, and the Alexander Calder 3.0 CSL that started it all with an entry in the ’75 24 Hours of Le Mans.

All BMW Art Car designs can be found in the stunning BMW Art Cars from Hatje Cantz, published earlier this year. Packing 148 images across its 200 pages, this hardbound edition – the cover of which is designed by Jeff Koons – goes into in-depth detail on all 17 international artists to have penned their mark on BMW legacy the significance of each design from the view of art historians, and the process of the designs themselves. And ONE of you lucky individuals can WIN this awesome prize, courtesy of BMW Middle East.

To be in with a shout of winning, all you have to do is answer this very simple question and leave it in the comments section below:

Which contemporary artist created the 17th BMW Art Car, a 2010 BMW M3 GT2?

We’ll draw one lucky winner at random on Thursday April 22nd. This competition is open to GCC residents ONLY. We can’t post the prize overseas, sorry.
