Lexus teases new LF-C2 concept

Is this a preview of an RC Convertible?

Lexus LF-C2 Concept Teaser

It’s the Los Angeles Motor Show next week and as details start to trickle out about the new metal we’ll see there, Lexus has given us a sneak preview of its new LF-C2 Concept.

Framed by a eclipsed moonlit night, the LF-C2 Concept teaser shows a convertible profile with a steeply raked windscreen and, well, that’s about all we can tell so far. But wait… look at the rear bumper and bonnet profiles. Could this be the precursor to an RC convertible?

It’s been a year almost to the day since the RC Coupe was launched at the Tokyo Auto Salon, and since then Lexus has unveiled a sporty RC F version as well as a concept GT3 race car.

If this new concept does turn out to be the blueprint for an RC Convertible, it’ll square up against the likes of the BMW 4-Series convertible and the Audi A5 convertible.

The Lexus LF-C2 Concept will be thrust into the daylight at the Los Angeles Motor Show on November 19, so we’ll have more info on it then.
