But models like the new Veloster and the Genesis Coupe demonstrated on their release that the Hyundai of today is a far cry from its roots in the late-1960s/early-1970s: cheap and cheerful may remain, but where once there was soul-crushing performance ineptitude and questionable design build is now V6 powerplants and high quality leathers.
