Ford set to premiere new vehicle in Barcelona

Ford has a busy week next week, with plans to introduce a new vehicle for Europe, unveil new in-car technology and detail the latest progress on its Smart Mobility plan at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.

Ford is set to introduce a new vehicle for Europe, unveil new in-car technology and detail the latest progress on the Ford Smart Mobility plan at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.

Ford president and chief executive Mark Fields will announce the news in a keynote speech at the event on February 22, in Auditorium 1, Hall 4, Conference Village.

Ford is exhibiting for its fifth consecutive year at the event, which last year attracted 94,000 attendees from 200 countries. This year, Fields will highlight developments in mobility, connectivity, customer experience, autonomous vehicles and data and analytics.

Also at the event; Ken Washington, vice president, Ford Research and Advanced Engineering, will announce the winners of the Ford Smart Mobility Game Challenge. Launched at Gamescom, the challenge invited developers to create concepts that could help to inspire mobility solutions.
