There’s only five of these in the whole world. And wouldn’t you know it, our intrepid crankandpiston man in London has gone and stumbled across one. That’s pretty slick work considering this FAB Design McLaren MP4-12C Terso only made its global debut three months ago at the Geneva Motor Show.

So, specifics, specifics. Well most of the changes are cosmetic but there has been some tinkering done to the pulsing 3.8l twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet. Outright punt has been lifted from 592hp to 671hp, so hit the go faster pedal for long enough and you’ll only run out of steam at 342kph.

The most significant and (rather fortuitously) restrained changes concern the remodeled front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, an altogether more aggressive-looking side air intake, and FAB’s own 20” alloys.

The eagle-eyed among you will have already spotted the removable rear wing. Though considering each FAB McLaren cost a knee-weakening $400,000 (plus change), we’re not too sure how keen we’d be to give that a go!
