This weekend sees the second event in the 2012 Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship, held – as the name suggests – at the Dubai Kartdrome. The 12 Hour race will play host to 27 teams looking to drive as fast and as far as they can from 9pm Friday to 9am Saturday.

The beauty of this particular championship is that entrants don’t need any equipment at all. Well, shoes are a good idea, but that’s it. All the 390cc Sodi karts are provided, and helmets, gloves and race suits are included for those that don’t have them. All you need to do is gather a few mates together, pay the entry fee, and you’re ready to race against a range of rivals from pro to amateur.
