You know those rare moments in life when you get a surprise moment, and you go “wow! I really didn’t expect that”, and then you know you’re going to remember it as one of life’s little niceties? Well, one such moment happened last weekend up the Victorian countryside.

So Friday night.. after work.. 2 1/2 hour drive from the house up to the hills of Bright. We arrived in the dark naturally, and had a pleasant evening in the rental house catching up with friends that had already arrived. We knew the house was out of town, and we knew that Shayne was taking his roadster up for the weekend, but when you get somewhere in the dark, and tired, there’s no much perception of where you are.

Imagine my extreme delight when after a refreshing shower and cup of tea in hand, I walked outside to see how Shayne was getting on with the spanners, and bam! there’s the view.

A cool roadster perched on the edge of the drive, with this stunning view in the background, and with the sun shining, it was the start of a fantastic weekend.

As far as early Saturday morning views go… how do you top that?
