Shortly after NISMO’s official launch in the Middle East, Nissan has unveiled the its performance brand’s 2016 line-up at the 2015 Dubai international motor Show, key among which is the brand new NISMO patrol.

Alongside both the 370Z and GT-R – the latter of which we’ve already taken for a spin on-track – the Patrol showcases what the company calls ‘NISMO DNA at its core’. So expect more than just a snappy paint job and some additional badges. And yes, it does have that…

Though it boasts the same 5.5-litre V8 as it’s base model, the race-inspired version kicks out 428bhp – an increase of 28bhp – thanks to an extensive Takumi engine tune, while peak torque is now available across 70 per cent of the rev range, allowing greater throttle response and acceleration. NISMO tuning continues beneath the surface courtesy of tuned suspension, ‘body reinforcements’, sport tuned power steering, and a Zero-lift aerodynamic bodykit. Signature NISsan Motorsport elements have also been incorporated, most notably the red striping and highlights on the door mirrors, plus some cheeky looking 20in RAYS forged-alloys.

Hold the chequebooks though Nissan fans, since no regional prices have been confirmed as of yet.
