Welcome to the newest arrival to The Management fleet here at the crank&piston loft.  Thanks to Mercedes Benz Middle East and Levant, we have the pleasure of a Mercedes ML350 Grand Edition for the next couple of months.

So – initial thoughts.  To start with, we were very happy to arrive at the Mercedes Head Office to be greeted with a very sharp looking white over black combo.  While we can’t really be choosers in these instances, having a white car is most certainly the right direction for us.  Not to mention a white car with black leather and copious amounts of contrast stitching.

The minor tweak the car has had the pleasure of wasn’t entirely required to keep it right at the top of its class, but the team at Mercedes dished one out anyway, and honestly it is far better for it.

It is a pleasure to hop back into a car with satnav after so long playing without it and the COMAND system in the ML has been updated to account for the ever changing Dubai layout.  The bumpers have been under the knife and there is a nifty aggressive front end on the car to give it a bit more presence.

The cockpit area is nice, neat and simple and more to the point – easy to navigate.

And finally and almost as important as anything on a modern SUV they havn’t gone crazy and fitted 22″ wheels.  For a car that prides itself on its on road manners, the 19’s fit the bill perfectly.
