VIDEO. MotoGP champ Marc Marquez rides ski slope

Three-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez takes his 2016 Repsol Honda RC213V for a spin on the Alpine slopes

Turns out Max Verstappen is not the only Red Bull athlete to hit the slopes in his daily driver (you can check out that video HERE)

Three-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez recently became the first man to go up Austria’s Kitzbühel Alps on a MotoGP machine (that’s considered one of the toughest obstacles on the Alpine Skiing World Cup, just FYI). Now, while we’re not entirely certain WHY this is such an accolade, we’re not going to question the commitment. After all, the most challenging part of the Hahnenkamm race, colloquially known as ‘the mousetrap’, involves an 85 per cent gradient that skiers can routinely hit at 100kph. And then there’s the bike itself. Marquez’s Repsol Honda RC213V – used to take five wins and 298 points en-route to his third world title – weighs just over 160kg and produces more than 230bhp from a 1000cc four-stroke. You try keeping that under control on the slopes, even with specially studded tyres.

So, is Marquez’s alpine run more impressive than the Ferrari F40, a Pagani Huayra BC, a Rebellion R2K a Formula Nurburgring single seater or a 911 SC RS on the snow? You tell us…
