VIDEO. Porsche teases next generation Panamera

Porsche has released a teaser clip of the next-generation Panamera, ahead of its official launch later in the year.

Clearly reminiscent of the new 718 Boxster, revealed earlier this year, the design mimics its front spoiler and aerodynamics-inspired design.

The whole exterior is to feature a more streamlined design than its predecessor. About time, really. I almost hated seeing one on the road. Gearing up fast in the rear view mirror to then overtake revealing a massive bulk to the side and rear.

The new Porsche Panamera is expected to deliver a new rear and all-wheel drive platform (named MSB) and a range of newly developed V6 and V8 petrol units. A hybrid could also be on the cards. It’s also expected to feature new materials, such as magnesium and aluminium skin, much like in the newest 911, whereby weight will be significantly reduced. We’re just thankful for an exterior redesign, though – all the rest is a bonus.

Often these teaser vids feature a blackened-out model that you can’t even see and they call it ‘teasing’. Instead, in this video you don’t get to see the car itself but is more a history into Porsche – it’s actually pretty cool.
