Epic, isn’t it?
From the mighty Ferrari-laden private collection of James Glickenhaus rolled this tyre-melting behemoth, the P4/5 Competizione. The road-going model, which made its debut in 2006, is based on the Ferrari Enzo but was actually designed as a one-off for Mr Glickenhaus by Pininfarina. And not surprisingly, that cost him quite a bit. Around $4 million in fact.
Naturally it wasn’t too long before the 660bhp V8 brute was called up for racing duties, and after copious amounts of carbon fibre was bolted on, the P4/5 Competizione hit the track for at the 2011 Nurburgring 24hrs. 40th wasn’t quite the fairytale ending the team expected.
Still, a re-modelled P4/5 Competizione is back for this year’s Nurburgring enduro. Here’s hoping this weekend goes better for them.
